general information
Our Strategy
InterAlianza is cooperating with both communities, utilizing a three-pronged strategy in order to address the problem:
1) Helping to mitigate the effects of unsustainable tree-cutting practices, i.e. guarding against further erosion; averting the destruction of ecosystems, the loss of farmland and the contamination of water and the depletion of underground water sources
2) Helping to change unsustainable tree-harvesting practices
3) Helping fund and manage a tree cultivation and replanting program, which provides education and advice to local communities and is producing enough trees to regenerate deforested areas in addition to replacing trees that are being harvested presently.
