{"id":10465,"date":"2023-02-03T14:42:08","date_gmt":"2023-02-03T22:42:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/?p=10465"},"modified":"2023-02-03T15:05:32","modified_gmt":"2023-02-03T23:05:32","slug":"continuing-work-for-the-community","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/culture\/continuing-work-for-the-community\/?lang=en","title":{"rendered":"CONTINUING WORK FOR THE COMMUNITY"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">By\u00a0 Message from Entremundos<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A new year, new challenges and new intentions.\u00a0 At EntreMundos we are satisfied with and are saying farewell to 2022 with pleasure, because we are returning to our usual in-person activities. \u00a0 We counted on you and the circulation of the magazine increased.\u00a0 We got good results from our \u00abStrengthening Community Tourism Capabilities in the Western Highlands of Guatemala\u00bb project.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During 2022 we worked on promoting readings.\u00a0 During the year we organized reading groups with young men and women from CEIPA (Center for Ecumenical Pastoral Integration), with the group known as Girls Leading and with students from the Western Rural Normal School (ENRO) in Totnicapan.\u00a0 At our office and venue location we listened to young people&#8217;s analyses, opinions, and critiques about a variety of topics including editions of our magazine.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EntreMundos&#8217; home once again was the site for an event and we returned to face-to-face activities.\u00a0 In the setting of the Strengthening Community Capabilities held December 7-8, 2022, nineteen participants from various organizations participated in a workshop called Plans for Ways and Means&#8211;an opportunity to increase their prominence and to achieve goals.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the workshop participants learned to develop plans for methodology.\u00a0 They increased use of social media outlets and became familiar with basic digital marketing concepts to actualize campaigns and projects that help their organizations to reach their targeted audience.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/whatsapp-image-2023-01-06-at-11.18.45-am-300x135.jpeg?ssl=1\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-10451 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/whatsapp-image-2023-01-06-at-11.18.45-am.jpeg?resize=300%2C135&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"135\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/whatsapp-image-2023-01-06-at-11.18.45-am.jpeg?resize=300%2C135&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/whatsapp-image-2023-01-06-at-11.18.45-am.jpeg?resize=1024%2C461&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/whatsapp-image-2023-01-06-at-11.18.45-am.jpeg?resize=768%2C346&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/whatsapp-image-2023-01-06-at-11.18.45-am.jpeg?resize=335%2C151&amp;ssl=1 335w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/whatsapp-image-2023-01-06-at-11.18.45-am.jpeg?resize=1050%2C473&amp;ssl=1 1050w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.entremundos.org\/revista\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/whatsapp-image-2023-01-06-at-11.18.45-am.jpeg?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During the past year we visited six participating organizations on-site.\u00a0 The visits were useful in order to construct a diagnostic study for each individual group.\u00a0 On the 9th of December the results were presented which will contribute to strengthening organizational skills and community tourism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">EntreMundos&#8217;
