El Organismo Ejecutivo publicó el martes 26 de agosto del presente año el Decreto Gubernativo Número 3-2014 en donde se acuerda declarar Estado de Calamidad Pública por la canícula prolongada.
Durante el plazo de treinta días de Estado de Calamidad, la Coordinadora Nacional para la Reducción de Desastres –CONRED-, se encargará de la implementación de diferentes acciones que tiendan a atender los daños derivados de los efectos de la sequía que afecta parte del territorio nacional, así como prevenir el riesgo que la misma produzca, todas en la forma, circunstancias y lugares que la situación lo requiera.
